  4. What can I expect during the first consultation?

    Your first consult will take about 90 minutes. During your initial consultation, the practitioner may do any of the following depending on your needs:

    • Assess past and current health complaint/s assessment
    • Review Body systems (digestive, endocrine, hepatic, circulatory, immune, reproductive etc.)
    • Evaluate for nutritional deficiencies
    • Iris analysis
    • Referrals for pathology or functional medicine testing, if needed
    • Determine root cause of disease, not just the symptoms
    • Determine treatment protocols and priorities
    • Provide nutritional and supplement advice

    We also ensure natural medicine prescriptions will not interfere or contraindicate other medications that you may be taking.

  5. What will my naturopath prescribe me?

    During your first consult, your Naturopath will determine the best treatment protocols for your case. This includes nutrition, lifestyle, and herbal medicines and supplements.

    To ensure optimal results, we have an on-site liquid herbal dispensary and all prescribed products are practitioner strength.

  6. How much does it cost to see a naturopath?

    An initial consultation with our senior naturopath is $150. The consultation takes about 90 minutes and our naturopath will conduct a full comprehensive health analysis and diagnostic. This includes:

    • Review Body systems (digestive, endocrine, hepatic, circulatory, immune, reproductive etc.)
    • Assessment of nutritional deficiencies
    • Referrals for pathology or functional medicine testing, if needed

  8. What do I need to bring to the initial appointment?

    Please bring any relevant tests such as blood tests you may have for your naturopath to use during your assessment. If you don’t have a copy on hand, please contact your doctor’s office and request a copy.

  9. Will natural treatment interfere with my medications?

    When it comes to fully natural and allopathic treatments you don’t have to choose one type over another. Our naturopaths are trained in pharmacology to ensure any natural medicine compliments your current medication, not hinder it.

    What's more, our highly experienced Naturopaths will prescribe around your prescription medications and in some cases may be able to help reduce pharmaceutical side effects. During your initial consult, you will need to discuss your prescription medicine with your practitioner to determine the best course of treatment.

  10. Is naturopathy safe for children?

    Yes. Naturopathy is perfectly safe for children of all ages because it works with your child’s internal natural healing system. All prescribed medicines are 100% natural.

  11. Is Naturopathy covered by private health insurance?

    As of 1st April 2019, Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy are no longer covered with private health funds in Australia.
